Our Story.

A family run Italian in the heart of the Merchant City. The same kitchen, the same family, the same welcome since the first night.

The Perella Family

A traditional,
family run kitchen.

Romano and his father Eufemio Perella have been the driving force behind Amore for over fifteen years, working together to build it into a Merchant City institution. Eufemio's wife Iolanda and daughters Santina and Daniela played vital roles in the early years.

Today Romano runs Amore day to day, keeping the shared vision the family started with. Generous hospitality, authentic cooking, and a room that has welcomed Glasgow for a generation.

The Welcome

Hospitality runs in the family.

Amore is the Italian word for love, but it also speaks to passion, the word Italians use for the family's love of food and wine. From the private booths to the branded napkins, the detail is deliberate.

Whether it is a quiet dinner for two or a long table of fifteen, the brief is the same. Look after people the way you would in your own home.
